To  start up your information  marketing  business requires indispensable  tools
1)   A laptop
2)  Internet connection  e.g. modem
3)  An email address-probably Gmail or yahoo mail
4)  A Phone
5)  A Bank Account

Selling  information today on the internet takes probably  2 or 3 forms-MP3, PDF Format (e-book), and CD. However, the form that is preferable  is making your information product  on PDF Format so it’s easy to transfer  and accessible.
FINDING  A  NICHE MARKET
To  start  information  marketing  and  staying  on  the  right  path,  you  would
need  to  find  a  niche  market .  A  niche  is  somehow  the  number  of  people
who   represents  the   total   number  of   units   that  are   interested  in   your
product  and  those  that  are  willing  to  purchase your  product at  a  particular
price.
Although you  could  create  your  niche  market  by  drawing  the  interest  of
people  into  your  product  and  keeping  their  interest  in  it  alive.  It  might  be
very hard for a beginner  to create a niche.
For  example, when I  first  wrote my  book ‘The Secrets of  Football Betting’, I
knew  it  would take some  serious advert  to figure out  exactly my niche. But
I  wasn’t  busy  doing  that,  in fact  I  decided  to  create  my  niche  for    that
product.  So  the  best  way  to  succeed  as  a  beginner  is  to  select  your  niche
but not a too narrow niche.
To  illustrate   a   niche   that   is   too   narrow   let   us   say   you   want   to   sell
information  on  how  to  order  for  cheap  laptops.  You  have  a  market  of
40,000  people  interested  in  your  product  but  you  are  looking  for  young
people   between   the   ages   of   18-23   that   can   start   up   their   own   laptop
business  after  they  purchase  your  manual.  You  may  not  possibly  get  much
response  for that product.
Now that  you  know  about  niche  marketing, the  next  step  is  keeping  your
customers with you.
THE USE OF AUTORESPONDERS
Let’s  say you have created a product and you want to start selling, referring
people to a website or blog might only make you have none of their
information because they may not sign up or follow that blog. But if you use
auto responders on the same site you will have a space where you can add
subscription  forms that you could entice them to fill. When they fill these
forms and subscribe to your auto responder, you  have their names and
email address (100% information).This  email address will help you build
what is called your mailing list through an auto responder.
So  you have the information of those that visited your site even if he or she
purchases your product or not. The auto responder  also helps you to set
up, schedule and send broadcast messages to your prospects. The auto
responders are of different types, some require you to pay while some are

The auto responders contain a very important feature that allows you to send broadcast messages. A broadcast message in an auto responder is a kind of message sent to all or a specified  number of prospects. A broadcast message allows you to customize how the message is to be tagged, if the message is to be sent immediately or scheduled and
allows you to post the same message on your facebook wall and other important features.
A  sales letter is what you type in the broadcast message to convince them to visit the blog and purchase the product. The sales letter should contain a link or source where the prospect can contact the info-marketer or the website or blog that does the work of selling the product as if he was there.
MAKING  USE  OF  A  WEBSITE  OR  BLOG
Well, I  would tell you to create a blog if you don’t have access to a website. There are many free blogs available  to you like blogger and wordpress. The purposes  of a blog are:
1.  To give your prospect an overview  of the product in consideration.
2.  To convince  the client in the best possible way to purchase  your product.
3. To show evidence of the outcome of the information  they are going to
purchase.
4.  To attract new prospect to your mailing list or auto responder irrespective  of whether they purchase  your product or not.
5. The main purpose of a blog or website for a particular  product is to sell the product as if you were there.
YOUR GREATEST ASSET-THE MAILING LIST
Your  greatest asset as Fred Gleeck puts it is the opt-in emails you have. With this, you would continue to have a market where you can sell your product irrespective of time. An auto responder  will help you to manage your prospects and their email addresses. Note that you do not need to send a sales letter  to prospects continuously  but rather periodically because they might unsubscribe from your auto responders.
USING AUTORESPONDERS TO GET  THE MAILING LIST

1.  Create  a  subscription  form for  your  site (very  easy  the  site  will help  you out)
2.   Choose 'light box' for  your  type  of subscription  form. Where  you  see 'form redirect url'  enter  the url of  your  site.  After  doing  everything  necessary, click on prospect>>>subscription  form...then  you  will  see  the form  you just  created...then  click  on 'get  code'.
3.   Copy  the code the site  gives  you  and  paste it in the HTML  of  your  site. That is after  you must have built a blog through www.blogger.com  ,then go to Edit>>>it  then show  you a box that  you can edit what  you have on  your site. Then  click HTML  so  you  can  view the html  conversion  of  your  site. No  need  to fear, just  paste  the  code that  you  have  copied from listwwire on  anywhere.
4.   Finally  click  on update  site, so  that  when  a  visitor  enters  your  site he
can enter his name  and email  there.  Therefore  this helps  you to build  a
mailing list  and  you  can  continue  to  send broadcast  message  to  these
email, thereby  having  a  great  advantage  of selling  your  product.

Advertising  works! This is one of the slogans of the big corporations  or big companies  that have a lot of budget for their products  and services. However,  if you own a small business like information  marketing  and have a website for it and you are low on finance, there are free ways to get exposure for your business  websites.  I am going to give you some ideas on how you can send targeted traffic to your website. I have personally  used these ideas and I saw a serious boost in the amount of website visitors to my online businesses.
Use  Social  Networks
In recent times, social networks are growing and are receiving more visitors  than most of the paid and usual advertising medium. One among the popular social media is Facebook.
If you do a little research on Alexa, you will find out that Facebook is the number one most visited website in Nigeria. It is the same in so many other  countries  around the world. Second to it, Yahoo and Google  coming in the third place.
To advertise  for  free,  go  to  Facebook,  create  a  group,  customize  your  profile
with  your  business    website    link,  s t a r t   i n v i t i n g   friends.    There  is    also

products    type    online.    What  you  do  is  find  out  these  questions,  make
research  and  sign  up  with  Yahoo Answers,  make a  detailed reply  to  as  many
questions as possible and post on Yahoo Answers.
In  your  answers,  let  the  link  to  your  website  be  where  people  are  redirected
to  get  more  information  to  satisfy  their  curiosity.    That    way,    you    will

Internet  marketers  use  it.  You  will  need  a  little  twist  to  get  people  to  visit
your info-marketing website.
Here’s what  you  need  to  do.  Search  for  the  threads  where  many  people  are
asking questions relating  to  your  market. If  you  don’t know the answer, do  a
thorough  research,  and  come  back  to  that  forum  and  post  your  findings.  Be
detailed  as  possible.    Leave  the  link   to  your  signature   to  be  your  small
business website.
As  more  and  more  people  ask  similar  questions,  they  will  see  the  answers
you  have  provided  and  other  forum  users  will  direct  new  members  to  your
post.  If  you  can  do  this  every  week  on  at  least  5  similar  forums ,  you  will
continue to get regular website visitors.
Use  Blog Commenting
There  are  blogs  everywhere  online  and  in  many  niche  markets.  Locate  a
blog  in  your  market  that  have  a  high  ranking  and  offer  to  be  a  guest  writer.
The  truth  is  most  blog  owners  who  receive  a  lot  of  traffic  to  their  blogs  run
out of ideas for articles.
But when  guest  writers  like  you  approach  them,  they  are  likely  to  accept  a
guest post .   Each   time   you   make   a   post   giving   a   valuable   article,   your

You may create a page or post about your product on groups with heavy traffic or many active members. Your post should be directing them to a blog or  website that contains the kind of product you are selling, the bonuses you might be offering, the payment method for the product and lastly but very important the money back guarantee for the product. You might note that you would sell 30% more of a product if you offer a money-back guarantee on it.
2) MARKETING YOUR PRODUCT ON NIGERIAN FORUMS
Marketing  your product on forums is another quick and easy way of getting people to know more about you and your products. We all know Nigerian forums are sites where everyone get to yak about anything. INFACT, I consider those sites the easiest way to find or create a niche market. When you know what they want and the possible pricing point (will be explained later) they are willing to pay, you’re likely to sell your product easily and make money every day. However you have to know the right forums to advertise on and their rules and regulations.
3) MARKETING YOUR PRODUCT THROUGH MASS MEDIA
You  might print flyers for your product so that people can get access to what they are buying readily. The flyer or poster should be advertising your product very convincingly while taking them to a website where they would be subscribing directly or indirectly to your auto responder. Still the flyer or any advert placement outside the internet should provide details of your products, how they can make money from it and they can purchase the product. That means it must contain more or less a
means of contacting you like your email and phone number.

THE PRODUCT you might want to create or develop depends upon you. You first start with what you are interested in and then move on to other broader areas you have tapped knowledge. Though if you do not have a product you might still make a fortune selling other people’s product-called affiliate marketing.
However,  you should note that you need to satisfy almost every client who bought your product and not let them feel as if you robbed them of their hard-earned money after buying your products. After the first week of selling my own product ‘The Secret of Football Betting’ I was getting testimonies from clients because they benefited tremendously from the information.
THE PRICING POINT
The pricing point of a product is very important because it is the only means of knowing ‘how much’ your niche is willing to pay for your product. To determine the pricing point of a product, you would need to consider 2 or m0re factors;
1.  The  product you are selling should be 10% of the profit the prospect will make
after purchase of the product for a certain period of time.
To    illustrate,  let’s    say    you    want    to    create    a    product    that    can    make    a    prospect    N15,000 after purchase,  the  price  of  the  product  should  likely  range  between  N1500  and  N2000.But  if  the product is much higher than 10% it is much likely that the product will not sell as much as planned.
2.The  pricing  point  also  depends  on  the  total  number  of   units  in  your  niche  and  total number of units willing to buy your product.
If  your  niche  is  relatively  small  corresponding  to  a  relatively  small  interest  in  your  product,  you may decide to increase  the price  slightly. Some of you might recall the manual of “HOW TO ORDER FOR CHEAP   LAPTOPS   FOR    N14,000+”.The   manual   was   first   sold   for   N3,500   maybe   because  the  info marketer  had  a  relatively  large  niche  but  small  interest  in  this  kind  of  product. Nevertheless,  a friend  of  mine  later  purchase  the  same  manual  for  N1000  after  the  marketer’s  niche and  the  interest  in  his  product  grew.  Therefore,  you  might  allow  the  population  of  your  niche  to influence the pricing point of your products.
SUCCESS TIPS IN INFO-MARKETING
1.  Treat  EVERY  client  as  a KING.
